"When I docked with LTE as a train engineer in May 2018, it happened, I would almost say by accident," remembers Andrzej. "But since then I have never regretted my decision: The corporate culture is consistently supported by a pleasant atmosphere: nice colleagues who respect each other, but also the reputation of LTE as an innovative company with excellent equipment and the best all-round know-how of its employees still convince me every day to have made the right decision." In the daily work process, of course, the challenge of getting transports to their destination safely and on time, sudden and sometimes difficult situations that await on the route, always motivate me to deal with it solution-orientedly.
Away from the professional challenges, Andrzej's commitment in his spare time is just as varied. Traffic moves on many different tracks here as well: “After years of being enthusiastic about my motorbike, I now ride my bicycle and, at the age of 46, I also give health more priority when it comes to sport. I am a keen swimmer and I generally enjoy being in nature: I enjoy hiking in the mountains as much as I enjoy diving in the sea for a while.”
What is missing now is revealing the great passion of the also enthusiastic hobby cook: "Even as a child it was easy for me to elicit euphonious sounds from every instrument that fell into my hands and so I play with various bands in Poland: Today that is mainly electric and acoustic guitar, as well as piano. I also sing and compose. On stage I performed with Xpressive, Kruk and Fatum, with whom we can already look back on some successes in my home country.
However, I don't want to forget the greatest wealth in my life. Together with my partner we are happy about our wonderful daughter Julia. She's 22 and quite like her father, so to speak: She writes and composes her own songs, and it looks like she's about to make her dreams come true."
In this late summer of 2023, Freddy Mercury would have celebrated his 77th birthday. With his treasures auctioned at Sotheby's 30 years after his death, we present another treasure: Queen performed by Andrzej Kwiatowski.
