“Above all, I took with me the numerous technical developments as a welcomed flood of information, such as the digital automated coupling, but of course also the tendencies to increasingly move freight transport from road to rail,” says Juritsch, Managing Director of LTE AT. “But of course the networking idea is a focus of the event in order to stay up to date by exchanging ideas with colleagues from the industry.”
In fact, the CombiNet association has been one of the main driving forces in regards of climate neutrality in Europe for years: the focus of the efforts is of course the desire to move freight transport from road to rail, for which corresponding efforts are being made across the entire continent make a noticeable impact, in short: the expansion of the rail infrastructure in Europe, such as promoting the expansion of dedicated routes for freight transport or the expansion of terminals.
Austria definitely plays a role model in this concert (and with it, of course, LTE as a group of companies involved here). In the last 10 years, KV has grown by almost 77%, which is not least due to the commitment of local companies and the support of transport policy. In other words: With a share of almost 30%, Austria has one of the highest values in the EU.
Our three participants were happy to take part in this important event and, together with their team in Europe, to be a key contributor to achieving climate neutrality by 2050.
